Natural Sciences Department

The Department of Natural Sciences was established on September 1, 2012 after the merger of the previously existing department of Biology and Chemistry and the department of Geography and Ecology. The department boasts of various heads and employees of leading specialized organizations, enterprises and institutions of Murmansk region teaching and working here. The department has specialized training classes and laboratories equipped with modern tools and equipment as well as botanical collection of plants cultivated in the open ground.

• Environmental impact on biological systems
• Oil destruction in the Arctic
• Arctic urban ecology
• Spread of infectious diseases in the North
• Theory and methodology of teaching
